We welcome beekeepers to the GBA fall meeting on September 26 - 28, 2019. Our fall conference is proudly sponsored by the following vendors: Pigeon Mountain Trading Company, Mann Lake, Blue Ridge Honey and Rossman Apiaries. We encourage our members to support these companies with your business both at the conference and in pre-conference orders.

We are so excited to invite you to hear Clarence Collison and Leo Sharaskin speak at our GBA fall meeting. In addition you'll have the opportunity to learn from Jennifer Berry and Lewis Bartlett. Along with these nationally known people, we have an outstanding line-up of Georgia speakers for our breakout sessions and keynotes, including Jennifer Leavey who runs the Georgia Tech bee program and our own Julia Mahood, who is both a Master Beekeeper and the designer of our state bee license plate. We have a special guest from Florida, Jaret Daniels, who got the state of Florida to plant their highways with bee friendly forage plant.

In addition to talks presented by our main speakers, additional breakout sessions will be presented by Paul Berry, Selina Bruckner, Marilynn Parker, Sophia Price, and Linda Tillman.

To see our speakers and topics, here is our schedule at a glance:

The GBA Board of Directors meets at 4:30 PM on the afternoon of the 26th, followed by a dinner at 7:00 where Jennifer Berry will share her humorous stories of her twenty years in beekeeping. If you'd like to be with your beekeeping friends from around the state, be sure to check and pay for the dinner on Thursday night, the 26th.

The actual conference begins on Friday, September 27. We are meeting in our location from last fall at the Forsyth Conference Center at Lanier Tech in Cumming, GA. Registration at the conference includes lunch on both Friday and Saturday and attendance at the ice cream and cookie social on Friday afternoon.

Registration is $75 for members and $90 for nonmembers. Beginning September 19, registration will be $95 for everyone. We are offering a one day registration fee of $45. Beginning September 19, a one day registration will be $60.

Hotel details will also be available soon. There are a number of hotels/motels in the conference center area within a four or five mile radius.

All activities of the conference will take place at the Forsyth Conference Center.

One of the features of the GBA Fall Conference is the fall honey show. To see the categories for the honey show, click here. Enter often in many categories! The honey show is only open to current dues paid members of GBA who attend the conference.

If you'd like to join us as a new member, click here. Once you have joined the organization, you can come back here and register for the conference at the member rate! As a nonmember registrant, you cannot enter the honey show, but if you join now, you can also enter the fall honey show.

If you are already a member and want to pay your dues for the next year as many of us like to do with the fall meeting registration, visit your member profile page when you have completed your registration and renew your membership. If you don't do that at this time, you will be sent a membership renewal reminder at the end of your membership year.

The officer election is held at the fall meeting. Members must have their dues paid up to date to vote in the election. If you are not sure when your dues should be paid, check on your personal profile page.

The nonmember rate is $90 per person, and entitles you to a one year membership, beginning the month after the September meeting. You'll get the GBA newsletter as our gift to you for the next year–we hope we will intrigue you enough to want to remain a member of our great GBA organization.

Refund policy: If you cancel by September 18, you may receive a refund of your registration fee. If you cancel after September 18, you will receive a refund of your registration minus $30 to cover the prepaid lunches and other costs. If you signed up for the dinner, you will receive a refund minus $55 for lunches and the dinner reserved for you.

Welcome, everyone! We are going to have a great fall conference and look forward to everyone's participation.
